Solar Is On The UP.
It is of my humble opinion that certain people refuse to accept this headline based on their biases, judgements about energy sources or the environment, and whatever excuse comes to mind for why they won’t convert to renewable energy.
The truth is, solar is going in one direction and one direction only—UP. It’s going UP on roofs and hills all around the country. The savings are going UP for those who come to adopt it. For all the doubters, solar is here to stay.
A recent report of the stats:
Solar was 87.3% of the new installed generating capacity for January 2024. The second highest total reported for solar EVER. The first highest? The month previous.
All renewable energy sources add up to more capacity than coal, That’s 29.17% of U.S. capacity.
All installed solar power exceeds nuclear and hydro combined.
By 2027, A projected 35% of U.S. capacity will be with renewables and 13.83% of that will be from solar power.
